Introduction

Almost everyday, Gigi and I collect our coffee and doughnuts from Tim Hortons and go to the Cobourg waterfront. The inner harbour, where we park, is a favourite stopover for Ducks, Canada Geese, Swans and the occassional Cormorant as they migrate south in the fall and north in late winter and spring.

There are, on occassion, hundreds of Canada Geese languishing in this quiet spot. Gulls are always present demonstrating their skill and grace in the wind, diving for small fish, squawking their territorial rights and competing for food thrown down by onlookers.

A few Geese and Ducks select this spot for the entire winter but most just drop in for a rest on their migratory journey.

The pictures in this small booklet record the passing scene from the fall of 2007 through the spring of 2008.

We hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed being there and recording the beauty and wonder of nature.
